At Goodwill, we couldn’t provide life-changing job training services without the generosity of our donors. We rely on you to help us change thousands of lives in the Cincinnati region each year, and we make giving to Goodwill simple and easy!
Here’s everything you need to know about donating to Goodwill:
Goodwill is committed to helping individuals lead fulfilling lives. Through Ohio Valley Goodwill’s services, individuals with disabilities, our nation’s veterans, and others can get job-skills training and find job opportunities that lead to independence, self-confidence, and accomplishment. When you donate to Goodwill, you’re making this work possible. In 2021, Ohio Valley Goodwill served nearly 3,000 individuals right here in the Greater Cincinnati community. Your donations go a long way!
Beyond supporting Goodwill’s employment services, donating unwanted items is a smart choice for our planet. Your choice to donate keeps items out of the landfill, and gives them a chance to be useful again!
Ohio Valley Goodwill gratefully accepts clothing, shoes, accessories, household items, small appliances, and more. Check out the full list of accepted donation items before you finish your decluttering. If you’d rather donate financially, you can do that too. It’s quick and easy to donate to Goodwill online!
Ohio Valley Goodwill donation centers are conveniently located throughout the Cincinnati region. Simply find the donation center that’s closest to you, and swing by to drop off your donations. In most cases, you just pull up to the marked door to unload. It just takes a few moments, and you’ll even receive a tax receipt!
Once you’ve handed off your donations, Goodwill’s team sorts them and prepares items for sale in one of our Ohio Valley Goodwill thrift stores located throughout the Cincinnati area. Rest assured, Goodwill is committed to sustainability, so any items that cannot be sold in a thrift store are recycled. Did you know nearly all clothing and textiles can be recycled? It’s true! Clothing can be turned into things like carpet padding, insulation, and mechanic’s rags. Recycling clothes is a much better choice than the trash can.
Now that you know everything about donating to Goodwill, are you ready to get started? Gather up the items you no longer need, find the Goodwill donation center located nearest you, and support services that make a lasting difference in the lives of others in the Cincinnati community. Or, show your support with a monetary donation. Thank you for helping others live the fulfilling lives they deserve!
