On Tuesday, March 11th, WCPO TV was on hand to film the news of the Furniture Fair donation of a semi-truck full of furniture to Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries. Ed Hartman, local celebrity and  Marketing Director  for Furniture Fair, was pleased to be on-hand for the generous community event which took place at the store’s Fairfield location.

Furniture Fair has been very supportive of Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries for many years and in fact this is not the first trailer they’ve donated. When Furniture Fair delivers new furniture to a customer they offer to take away the old furniture that the customer is replacing. Furniture Fair passes this furniture on to Goodwill to sell in their stores. Michael Flannery, Public Information Officer for Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries, says the donations provided by Furniture Fair have always been of very good quality. “Furniture Fair not only has great furniture but they also have some very loyal customers so a lot of what they haul away and give to Goodwill are items originally purchased from Furniture Fair.”

Ohio Valley Goodwill is very grateful to Furniture Fair, Ed Hartman and WCPO TV for their wonderful support of the organization’s mission of putting people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to work in our community. Donations sold through Goodwill’s network of retail stores provides the funding needed to provide vital employment and training programs for residents of the Greater Cincinnati community.
