” Ohio Valley Goodwill in partnership with the CARA group (Community Ambassadors Resource Alliance), is excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for the 2009 ” What Matters Most” Fashion Show, being held Wednesday, October 28th at the Kingsgate Marriott Hotel. The premiere event promises to be the must-see social occasion of the Fall season and is designed to create awareness about the ambition and ability of all people with disabilities. Proceeds from the first-ever show will benefit the ” People for MR/DD Services.”
Models for the 2009 ” What Matters Most” Fashion Show include participants in Goodwill’s many programs and services as well as staff members in its many different divisions. The unique fashions for the show are provided through Goodwill’s network of 14 retail stores and boutiques.
Of particular interest, is the debut of Nikki Martin, a fashion design artist affiliated with co-sponsor, Visionaries and Voices, who will be presenting more than 10 of her couture designs for the show.
” The CARA group has been overwhelmed by the community support that it has received for this first-ever event,” said Kate Hawkins, CARA Chairperson. ” Sponsors have been more than generous in their assistance in supporting the “What Matters Most” Fashion Show and we know that tickets will be sold out quickly,” added Hawkins.
