Winter outerwear is by far the most expensive clothing item you’ll need to stay warm this season. Depending on the material, most winter coats can cost anywhere from $50 to several hundred. When thrifting coats for adults, look for classic cuts that are made from quality materials. Wool peacoats and down quilted coats will wear well and are water-repellent.
For kids, choose coats that are comfortable and built to last. Children typically prefer quilted or puffer coats because they allow for all the movement that comes with play! Look over zippers, buttons, and seams for sturdiness, too.
