The 100th anniversary version of the 2016 Goodwill Celebrity Golf Outing not only attracted an excited roster of players this year as well as celebrity guests, but also served as another official celebration of the organization’s century of service in the Greater Cincinnati community. Celebrity Chairman Joe Walter struck the right note from the beginning as he and Co-Chair, Stephanie Mitchell along with Goodwill President and CEO, Joe Byrum thanked the many participants, sponsors and volunteers for their support on this historic occasion. The beautiful morning and clear skies certainly seemed to mark the outing as befitting of a 100 anniversary celebration event.
As has become tradition, Goodwill ambassador teams representing the organization’s CARE program helped to get arriving golfers excited about the 2016 event, greeting them with huge smiles, cheers and applause.
In addition, Goodwill was thrilled to welcome back volunteers from long-time partner, Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, who give their time to monitor the cars placed by Hole-in-One sponsor, Superior Automotive on the course.The 2016 Goodwill Golf Outing marks a huge milestone in the organization’s history. For 100 years, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been helping people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to receive skill training and employment in the Greater Cincinnati community. During that century of service, tens of thousands of people have been assisted in achieving personal success and obtaining jobs. The organization is also grateful that the 2016 outing will mark the 16th year that honorary chairman Joe Walter has served as the celebrity spokesperson for Ohio Valley Goodwill and also, the 6th year that advocate, Stephanie Mitchell has served as co-host of the annual fund-raiser.

The highlight of this year’s historic Goodwill Golf Outing as always was the delicious dinner sponsored by Vincenzo’s and enjoyed by all of this year’s players and guests as well as the exciting Auction and awards presentation ceremony. Celebrity Chairman, Joe Walter and Co-Chair Stephanie Mitchell made sure to acknowledge all of the sponsors and contest winners during the evening festivities reminding all about how important their support is and has been to the overall success of the Goodwill mission of putting people to work.
