As Spring approaches, ” Team Goodwill” prepares to take part in a new feature of the Flying Pig Marathon called ” PigAbilities.” The new progressive training program, sponsored by CARA , includes 12 weeks of one-hour training sessions leading to the big event on May 4th. The kick-off session for the PigAbilities training event was held February 6th at the Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services Support Center and Goodwill team members were there to learn all about the new event, receive their ” Hog Log” to track their miles and find out more about making healthy choices. ” I think it will be fun to be part of the training program,” said Melinda Gabelman, Goodwill team member. Gabelman has partnered with Sharon Hannon, Goodwill Marketing Specialist, in training for the big race for many years. On Race day, ” Team Goodwill” will be made up of approximately 30 members from the organization’s Community Access, Work Adjustment, Retail, and Marketing departments. ” We look forward to being part of one of the most high-profile community events held in Greater Cincinnati,” said Hannon. ” It really is an opportunity for our athletes to shine,” added Hannon.
