This year marks the 5th anniversary of the Hope & Possibility Race; a feature of the annual Flying Pig Marathon. The Hope & Possibility Race pairs athletes with and without disabilities in a high profile athletic event which focuses on positive relationships and community involvement. For Ohio Valley Goodwill, this year marks the debut of the largest number of participants involved in “Team Goodwill” since the group started more than 5 years ago. 30 athletes are in training for the 2011 Hope and Possibility Race which will be held on Saturday, April 30th this year. Veteran “Team Goodwill” members are back again from the organization’s Work Adjustment and CARE programs but for the first time, the team is welcoming athletes from its Retail division as well as family members. “We are very excited about “Team Goodwill” this year because it really marks a collaborative partnership between all members of the Goodwill family,” said Leslie McCurley, Asst. Director of DD Services. Watch for upcoming Facebook postings about Team Goodwill’s performance in this year’s inspiring Hope and Possibility Run!
