Planning for 2017 ShareFest Donation Drive Underway and Goodwill Proud to be a Sponsor!

Planning for the 2017 ShareFest Donation Drive which takes in the city of Oxford from May 10th through May 16th this year is well underway and Ohio Valley Goodwill is pleased to be a major sponsor of the event. The 2017 ShareFest donation event is promising to be one of the busiest ever. As a major sponsor of the community donation event, Goodwill will have four of its donation trailers prominently featured at ShareFest “Donation Central” at the Chestnut Fields HQ in downtown Oxford.

The mission of ShareFest is as a service and environmental nonprofit corporation dedicated to the collection and redistribution of items donated by Miami University students and the Oxford community at the end of the academic year. Collected items are shared with local human service organizations and recycled responsibly as appropriate. This year’s beneficiary groups include: Butler County Success, The Family Resource Center, Oxford Community Choice Pantry, Greater Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity, Butler County Children Services, Lighthouse Pantry and Ohio Valley Goodwill. The Student Veterans Association at Miami University will provide volunteer support for this year’s donation event.

” As a new business which has just recently joined the Oxford community, Goodwill couldn’t be happier to once again be a partner in the ShareFest donation event,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Director. The Oxford Goodwill store is located at 203 South Locust Street (close to the new Oxford library) and offers a selection of fashion items, books and collectibles and has been well received by the community. The Oxford Goodwill store also features a drive-thru donation center for the convenience of local donors.
