PigAbilities Runners Will Celebrate With A Picnic
This Saturday, April 26, the participants the CARA Group‘s 2014 PigAbilities training sessions are taking some time to celebrate. This group of individuals with disabilities has been training since the beginning of March to take part in a special awareness-raising run on the actual Flying Pig Marathon course. After months of hard work, it is finally time to take a break and have some fun!
This celebratory picnic will be held at the Theodore M Berry International Friendship park, and will include a ” Random Oink” visit from the Flying Pig itself. PigAbilities is an important awareness raising event for CARA Group, and an important opportunity to individuals with disabilities to interact with the broader Cincinnati community. The runners have worked exceedingly hard throughout the program. Each participant has followed a prescribed training and nutrition plan, and some runners have accomplished a long distance run for the first time in their lives.
