The Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services Levy provides essential services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The levy which is on the ballot every 5 years, provides 71% of the funding needed to help almost 10,000 families in Hamilton County. Services provided by Hamilton County DD Services include educational, residential, vocational as well as service coordination. Ohio Valley Goodwill is a long-time partner with HCDDS and as such, provides services for more than 700 individuals through its work and training programs.
The campaign to pass the Levy officially kicks off on March 3rd, but on Wednesday, February 19th, community leaders from around the county will be coming together to collaborate in preparation for the big Kick-Off event. As a long-time partner of HCDDS, Goodwill was pleased to offer its corporate headquarters for the Levy meeting.
Hamilton County DD Services and Goodwill work in partnership along with other community agencies to help individuals and families in Hamilton County to receive vitally needed services. Every day in Greater Cincinnati, we see the impact of services provided by Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services and Goodwill. As a result of levy support, Hamilton County residents are helped with having a place to live, getting a job, receiving skill training and going to school. The programs that make that possible depend on the successful passage of the HCDDS levy on May 6th.
