The evening of February 7th marked the occasion of a very special retirement celebration hosted by Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Board of Directors for Doug Ostholthoff, former Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administrative Services. Held at the Meritage Restaurant in Glendale, the Board and Executive staff recognized Doug for his more than 45 years of service to Goodwill and its mission of service.
Doug started his tenure with Goodwill at the age of 18 and really never looked back. Over the years, he has helped the organization grow from a $1M operation in the early years to the vital $40M a year social enterprise now.
Despite his quirky personality traits, Doug has steadfastly led the organization in its financial growth and economic viability through prudent and thoughtful investment and responsible debt management.
Highlights of his noteworthy career over the years include:
Doug was also very instrumental in the organization achieving its 6th consecutive perfect CARF accreditation survey in 2019.
Public Information Officer, Michael Flannery produced a video tribute for the event featuring Goodwill’s staff team congratulating Doug on his service and retirement. Board Chairman, Bill Courtney recognized Doug for his many contributions to the organization and presented him with a gift from the Board of Directors. Past Chair, Charlie Wright joined in conveying his congratulations as well as President and CEO, Joe Byrum. We wish Doug the best of luck in his many new adventures which we know will include everything from flying planes to racing cars and everything he can find that presents a new challenge. Thank you for your many years of service to the individuals we serve as well as to the overall growth of the Goodwill organization.
