Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to welcome Senator Louis Blessing to its corporate headquarters on Friday, July 22nd. The Senator was cordially invited to tour the organization to learn more about the organization’s 106 year mission of helping people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to thrive through employment. Senator Blessing represents the 8th District in Hamilton County.
Among the many highlights of the Senator’s important visit was a comprehensive tour and overview of its Center for Advocacy, Recreation and Education (CARE) program; Employment Services and Training; Veterans Services; Pre-Vocational services as well as its Contributed Goods facility. The Senator had a chance to learn about the specific programs offered by Ohio Valley Goodwill as well as its overall economic impact on the Greater Cincinnati community.
Senator Blessing was kind enough to spend a great deal of time talking with the organization’s Leadership team about ideas on how to be supportive of Goodwill’s mission and future meetings will be planned in advance of the budget process.
Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to Senator Blessing for making time in his busy schedule to visit Ohio Valley Goodwill and learning more about its important mission of service to the community. Goodwill looks forward to working collaboratively in the future with the Senator on ways to promote inclusion and employment of individuals with disabilities as well as our nation’s veterans in the Greater Cincinnati community.
