Ohio Valley Goodwill was delighted to welcome representatives from the Goodwill Bean Counters group to its corporate headquarters on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 8th, 9th, and 10th as the host site for the 2012 Bean Counters Conference. The group is made up of 6 Goodwill organizations including Dallas, Kentucky, Richmond, Tulsa, South Bend, and of course, Cincinnati. The group meets annually to discover best practices regarding donations, retail, human relations, e-commerce, production and mission-related services.
This year’s Bean Counter attendees included 18 representatives from the Goodwill partner organizations who enjoyed the opportunity to tour, learn about Ohio Valley Goodwill’s operations and practices, as well as to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Cincinnati. The group was treated to a host of Cincinnati favorites including lunch at Skyline Chili, dinner at Montgomery Inn, a tour of Paul Brown Stadium and an outing to the Banks. “We were very pleased to welcome the Bean Counters group to Cincinnati for this year’s event,” said President and CEO, Joe Byrum. “It’s always a wonderful learning opportunity for all of us as we seek to enhance our operations,” added Byrum. Ohio Valley Goodwill’s staff team were an integral part of the 2012 Conference as Cincinnati representatives presented information about their respective division to the interested guests. The action-packed three day Conference ended with a visit to Hollywood Casino, which is also a host site for a Goodwill donation center. “We were very excited to welcome our guests to Ohio Valley Goodwill and introduce them to the Greater Cincinnati area,” said George Palmer, Marketing and Public Relations Director.
