Ohio Valley Goodwill team members were pleased to be recognized with Community Recognition Awards at the 25th Annual Community Recognition Dinner hosted by Butler DD. The annual event is designed to honor outstanding individuals, organizations, businesses, families, and volunteers whose extraordinary efforts have made an impact in the community for people with developmental disabilities. The organization’s Fairfield Vocational Center management team composed of Denis Hurm and Barbara Frederick-Miller both received Community Recognition awards as well as Sales Manager, Ann Walters.
The evening featured Local12 WKRC’s John Lomax as the emcee and Q102’s Jenn Jordan as the keynote speaker. John Lomax has served as the official emcee of the event for more that 18 years. Jenn Jordan’s remarks brought the assembled audience members to their feet in a standing ovation as she shared details about her life with son, Jakob, and her own personal journey as a mother trying to embrace unconditional love for her son and herself.
More than 400 attendees enjoyed the 25th annual event celebration which promotes community collaboration and partnerships.
