As a partner organization with Clermont DD in providing employment and training services for individuals with disabilities in Clermont County, Ohio Valley Goodwill is well aware of the critical importance of the renewal of tax levies which fund their vital programs for children and adults. This year, a renewal levy will be on the ballot on May 8th and passage will benefit nearly 2000 children and adults in Clermont County who have intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Upon approval, it will renew a five year, .75 operating levy and will not result in any increased cost to the taxpayer.
Services to the citizens of Clermont County provided by Clermont DD include: Early childhood services; support for children with multiple disabilities; support for adults who want to work and live as independently as possible; home-based services for children and adults; Supported Living and Service Coordination for individuals and their families; as well as services for senior citizens who have Developmental Disabilities. As a member of the levy planning group; the Committee to Support People with Disabilities; Ohio Valley Goodwill will be assisting with helping to get the message out about the upcoming Levy through speaking engagements, signage placement as well as social media support.
“Ohio Valley Goodwill is always happy to help support important levy campaigns which provide essential funding for citizens with disabilities,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Manager.
