As we come to the end of this most exciting 100th Anniversary Celebration year, Ohio Valley Goodwill wanted to take a moment to reflect on our century of service to the Greater Cincinnati community. Ohio Valley Goodwill has been providing exceptional employment and training services to men and women with disabilities and our nation’s veterans for the past century and it is thanks to our outstanding employee team and community partners that this mission of service is possible.
During our 2016 celebration year, our remarkable staff team has helped the organization to be recognized locally, regionally and internationally through its recent CARF accreditation. This noteworthy and momentous anniversary year was highlighted in June when the Hamilton County Commissioners proclaimed June 3rd as ” Goodwill Industries Day” throughout all of Hamilton County. In addition, Goodwill was singled out as one of the 2016 “Best Workplaces in Ohio” by Ohio Business Magazine in October of this year.
Ohio Valley Goodwill’s 100th anniversary year could not have started in better fashion than with the attainment of the organization’s fifth consecutive perfect accreditation outcome from the international accrediting body, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, CARF. The CARF 2016 survey specifically noted Goodwill’s ” experienced, loyal staff team members which has resulted in great benefits and consistency for the people Goodwill serves and the organization. Staff members demonstrate a positive attitude that promotes teamwork and dedication to service delivery.”
As we move into a New Year and conclude our official celebration of our 100th anniversary of service to the Greater Cincinnati community, Ohio Valley Goodwill wishes to congratulate and express our gratitude to our outstanding staff team as well as to our wonderful partners and friends who make it possible each year for thousands of individuals served to achieve personal success.
For the past 37 years, Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries has been guided in its mission of service by President and CEO, Joe Byrum. Notably, this year also marked the recognition of more than 50 staff members who have served the organization for twenty years or more. This is an extraordinary reflection of the overall organizational commitment and dedication of the Goodwill staff team and the leadership by its long-time President and CEO. Goodwill’s recent CARF survey noted that “Ohio Valley Goodwill is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary of service and has a great deal to be proud of. Overall strengths include the experience, competency, and commitment of the leadership and management team and its well qualified staff members. Person centered services are of high quality, and the persons served and families report that they are treated with the utmost respect and dignity.”
As we move into a New Year, Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is committed to continuing to help the thousands of individuals the organization serves to achieve personal success. Goodwill looks forward to working collaboratively with our partners, our families, and all of you to maintain our proud history of service and to put people to work.
Please join Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries in helping put people to work in this New Year!
