Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is pleased to announce that the organization has received a High Impact Grant from Wells Fargo for its Veterans programs. The grant in the amount of $93,420 is to be used to provide emergency housing assistance and employment-related aid to 150 extremely low/low income individuals and/or families. The primary goals of the grant are to help individuals to achieve economic and personal independence through employment and housing stability. Individuals served will be residents of four counties including Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren.
For more than twenty-five years, Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries has offered programs and services specifically designed to meet the needs of military veterans both in terms of employment as well as housing. Ohio Valley Goodwill is a 501 © 3, not-for-profit community-based organization in operation since 1916. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Goodwill provides a comprehensive array of rehabilitation, training and placement services as well as ancillary supports to individuals with disabilities, homeless veterans and veterans at risk of homelessness and individuals experiencing socio-economic disadvantages impacting on employment. In 2018, Ohio Valley Goodwill served more than 3500 individuals in one or more of the agency’s broad range of programs and 907 were assisted in obtaining community employment.
