The one day conference event is followed with multiple in-depth booster sessions on transition topics throughout the year. The Transition Boot Camp conference and vendor fair helps families and educators better prepare for the many transitions that youth experience when moving from school to community work and life.
The popular Transition Boot Camp event typically welcomes more than 300 families, teachers, professionals as well as advocates and provides a host of information designed to be a one-stop shop for families and professionals planning for transition. This year, Ohio Valley Goodwill is also pleased to announce that Matt Burnheimer, Employment Services Manager, will be a co-presenter along with Stepping Stones Center, Easter Seals Tri-State and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities during the day-long conference event.
In addition, the 2018 Transition Boot Camp event will feature a vendor fair during which attendees will have the opportunity to connect with various provider agencies representing Employment services, like Goodwill, recreation programs as well as educational options. ” Ohio Valley Goodwill is always pleased to be a major sponsor of the annual Transition Boot Camp event in partnership with other area service provider agencies,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Director. The Transition Boot Camp event is a collaborative initiative supported by University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), four County Boards of DD, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, as well as a host of other service provider organizations.
