Ohio Valley Goodwill Participates in 2022 CARF Accreditation Review

For the first time in 2022, Ohio Valley Goodwill participated in a virtual accreditation survey through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) on June 14th and 15th. The organization worked for months ahead of time uploading required materials for the survey team to review to assess the organization’s compliance with its rigorous standards. CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of persons served. Find out more about CARF at www.carf.org

During the two day accreditation review, CARF surveyors interviewed staff, spoke with families and individuals served and reviewed participant files along with a thorough assessment of Ohio Valley Goodwill’s routine health and safety practices. The organization has received six consecutive perfect survey outcomes over the past 18 years and looks forward to learning the outcomes of the 2022 CARF accreditation survey in the weeks to come. Once the organization is officially notified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities of the accreditation outcomes for this year, Goodwill looks forward to sharing the news with all of its wonderful referral partners, families, staff, participants and other stakeholders. Stay tuned for the official results to be announced in the coming weeks.

Our most sincere gratitude to our staff team, Board of Directors, families, program participants and referral sources for their hard work and support in helping Ohio Valley Goodwill prepare for and participate in the 2022 CARF accreditation survey.
