Ohio Valley Goodwill just learned that the organization was nominated for an award through Ohio Public Images, Inc. The Goodwill nomination was in the category of “Outstanding Collaborative Efforts-Ohio Valley Goodwill PR Team.” The nomination was made by long-time partner, Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services (HCDDS); and reflects Goodwill’s support of the 2014 Levy campaign.
As part of the 2014 Levy campaign in support of HCDDS, Goodwill provided a variety of public relations efforts that were instrumental in the historic positive approval passage of the ballot measure. These efforts included a county-wide levy sign distribution effort; the filming and production of a TV commercial; a voter registration drive; numerous speaking and promotional efforts as well as one of the largest county-wide “Honk and Wave” events.
Ohio Public Images, Inc.,a not-for-profit corporation, was established in 1983 to promote positive awareness of people with developmental disabilities. This year, the Ohio Public Images awards luncheon will take place on March 12th in Columbus, Ohio.
“We are so honored that our long-time partner, Hamilton County DD Services, has nominated Ohio Valley Goodwill for this prestigious OPI award,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Specialist. “Our team very much values our partnership with the Board and was happy to assist with the Levy campaign,” added Hannon. Thanks to the generous support of Hamilton County voters, the 2014 Levy passed with an unprecedented 75% approval rating.
