Ohio Valley Goodwill Announces 1st-Ever Title Sponsorship for the PigAbilities Race in 2017 Flying Pig Marathon!

Ohio Valley Goodwill Title Sponsor for 2017 Flying PigAbilities Event!

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is pleased to announce First-Ever Title Sponsorship for the PigAbilities Race as part of the 2017 Flying Pig Marathon! Taking place on Saturday, May 6th at 1 pm, the PigAbilities event is an option for people of all ages with disabilities who may not wish to participate in a competitive event, but still want to be part of The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon weekend.

This year for the first time ever, Ohio Valley Goodwill is honored to announce that the organization will be the Title Sponsor for the PigAbilities event and is busy working with the Flying Pig team on plans for making this year’s PigAbilities event one of the best yet. As an employment and training center serving people with disabilities, Goodwill’s decision to become the first-ever Title Sponsor for this important event is due to its century long commitment to helping people with disabilities to achieve personal success.

The PigAbilities event takes place when there are fewer crowds, increased accessibility and more parking. While there are no timing chips or first place winners, PigAbilities participants should be willing to ” go the distance” by making a commitment to enrich their lives through being more active and making healthy choices. On Saturday, May 6th participants will gather for a 1:00pm Start Time and walk, roll or stroll the final mile on the actual Flying Pig Marathon course! At the Finish Line each finisher will receive a PigAbilities medal to commemorate their achievement.

For the past several years, Goodwill has been a feature at the two day Expo event with its very popular Goodwill ” Pig Pop-Up Shop” where race participants can purchase running gear for incredible prices. Historically, the organization has always been involved in Flying Pig events either as running teams or as coaches and partners for athletes with disabilities. This year’s opportunity to become the official first-ever Title Sponsor of the 2017 PigAbilities event is a welcome chance to support athletes with disabilities in an inclusive and wonderful way to be part of the Marathon weekend as well as for the organization to share its century long mission of service with the larger Cincinnati community.
