L to R: Julie Schreiber, Goodwill, Liz Ottke and Dan Ottke, CCBDD. Ohio Valley Goodwill was delighted to be a major sponsor for “A Night with Sinatra;” a fund-raiser to support people with disabilities served by the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities held Saturday, August 11th at Coney Island’s historic Moonlite Gardens. The romantic evening of dancing featured the Pete Wagner Orchestra and starred Matt Snow, known as the “The Cincinnati Sinatra.” More than 150 couples enjoyed the lovely strains of classic tunes elegantly performed by the Orchestra and the performance of Matt Snow who really reminded everyone of Sinatra for the evening. As a major sponsor of the event, Ohio Valley Goodwill was singled out for recognition by Sharon Woodrow, Superintendent of the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities, (CCBDD), and was delighted to be so enthusiastically welcomed by the attendees. Goodwill has been working in partnership with the Clermont County Board for the past year in serving more than 15 individuals sponsored by the Board in its new Eastside Vocational Services Center located in Batavia as well as through its community-based work site at its Beechmont store location. Goodwill attendees included Todd Schreiber, Industrial Services Marketing Manager, Julie Schreiber, Intake Coordinator, Paula Smith, Eastside Supervisor, Mary Wellen, Work Adjustment Asst. Manager and Sharon Hannon, Marketing Specialist. “We were very happy to be a sponsor of the “Night with Sinatra” event in support of people with disabilities served by the Clermont County Board of DD,” said Hannon. Goodwill’s new Eastside Vocational Services Center is a precedent-setting partnership between both the Hamilton and Clermont County Boards of DD to serve individuals who live in both Clermont County and the Eastside of Hamilton County. Goodwill has worked in partnership with Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services (HCDDS) for more than 25 years and is excited about expanding its programs to more interested individuals.
