L to R: Julie Isphording, Olympian and Race Director of the Thanksgiving Day 10k.,
Michael Flannery, Public Information Officer and Sharon Hannon, Marketing Specialist.
Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Marketing Team Members, Michael Flannery and Sharon Hannon were delighted to join with the editorial team of the Business Courier during their annual holiday networking event held this year at Igby’s in downtown Cincinnati. The annual get-together is designed to provide an opportunity for business professionals to meet the publisher and editorial team of the Business Courier as well as to network with each other. Goodwill team members were also thrilled to run into Julie Isphording, Race Director of the Thanksgiving Day Race, who is also a supporter of Ohio Valley Goodwill. The Goodwill team members took advantage of the opportunity to speak with Courier reporters about the agency’s mission and relationship with its network of retail stores and need for donations. While reporters were well aware of Goodwill’s place in the business world, they were unaware of the true story of the organization and its support of people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans. A cordial follow-up invitation was sent to the Retail reporter asking him to visit Goodwill’s corporate headquarters to see the mission in action. Ohio Valley Goodwill has long been a supporter of the Business Courier and looks forward to working with their editorial team on a future story piece regarding Ohio Valley Goodwill and the aspects that people don’t know about in terms of how their donations allow the organization to assist more than 3100 people annually to achieve personal success. Ohio Valley Goodwill thanks the Business Courier for their wonderful hospitality during the holiday season.
