The Cafeteria at Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Employment and Training Center served as the location for the 2022 Voter Registration Drive on Wednesday, October 5th. Held during the busy lunch hour, Goodwill’s Marketing team facilitated the important outreach event. “Goodwill has a long tradition of providing voter education and registration opportunities for our team members,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Director. “The past several years of the pandemic impacted our ability to provide these educational opportunities safely and we are glad to be able to help individuals to register to vote this year.”
As an Employment and Training Center which serves thousands of people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans each year, Goodwill is pleased to offer the opportunity for its team members to be fully included into the larger community through employment, enrichment experiences as well as participation in the upcoming election. In past years, Goodwill has partnered with a number of community organizations including County Boards of Developmental Disabilities as well as the League of Women Voters to provide non-partisan educational opportunities for the individuals that the organization serves as well as interested staff members.
