Thursday, July 22nd marked the first official Open House event for Goodwill’s newest Vocational Services Center in the city of Lebanon. Housed in the organization’s newest retail store location in Lebanon, the Open House welcomed members of new partner agency, the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities, family members as well as a reporter from the Western Star newspaper. Guests were greeted by tour guide teams led by participants in the new Vocational program paired with staff members. The tour guide team members included Jenny Ackerman, Faye Bengal and Wanda Hollandsworth, all of whom are participants in the Goodwill program. ” We were delighted to have this opportunity to show off our newest training program to the staff of the Warren County Board of DD,” said Leslie McCurley, Asst. Director of DD Services for Goodwill. ” We are very excited about the wonderful work opportunities we can offer to individuals served by the Board,” added McCurley. The new Lebanon Vocational Services Center opened in May of this year and is still accepting new referrals to the program.
