Ohio Valley Goodwill’s corporate headquarters was the host location for the first meeting of the Grassroots Committee in support of the 2019 Hamilton County DD services operating levy. The meeting was an effort to organize local provider agencies in a collaborative partnership to support the levy campaign efforts through social media strategies and other creative community outreach initiatives. As a more than 30 year partner of Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services (HCDDS) in providing employment, training and community integration programs, Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to host this first meeting of the Grassroots Committee.
The critical operating levy provides 75% of the funds needed for Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, (HCDDS), to continue offering their critical services for children and adults with DD in Hamilton County. Hamilton County DD Services has a long history of community support and their last levy in 2014 was approved with unprecedented success. The Board is well known in the Greater Cincinnati community for its commitment to its mission of helping people with developmental disabilities to live, work and play in their community. As a long standing partner of Hamilton County DD Services, Ohio Valley Goodwill will be fully involved in supporting the 2019 levy campaign on behalf of the thousands of individuals with DD that both agencies mutually serve.
