Ohio Valley Goodwill was delighted to be an exhibitor for the 2012 Time-Warner Cable Disability Awareness and Volunteer event held on Thursday, September 13th at their headquarters location in Blue Ash. The lunch-time event provided almost 100 Time-Warner employees the opportunity to find out more about different community organizations and the services they provide to individuals with a variety of disabilities. The well-organized awareness event was presented to the Time-Warner employees to provide them with the information they might need to support non-profit organizations in their community. The purpose of the event was to demonstrate Time-Warner’s Cable’s commitment to community service and help their employees to discover possible volunteer options. |
Goodwill’s Marketing Specialist Sharon Hannon was pleased to have the opportunity to speak with all of the employees regarding the organization’s mission of helping people with disabilities as well as our nation’s veterans to receive skill training and get jobs in the community. In addition, attendees were interested to learn more about how their donations of household goods, clothing, computers and even cars, contribute significantly towards the Goodwill mission.
Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to Time-Warner Cable for inviting the organization to be part of the 2012 Time Warner Disability Awareness Event. For more information about how donations support the mission of Goodwill, please visit our website at www.cincinnatigoodwill.org/donate. |
