Taking place May 13th-19th in the city of Oxford, the 2015 ShareFest donation event is promising to be one of the busiest ever. Organizer Carol Michael says that scheduled pick-ups for this year’s drive are more than four times the number of last year’s event. The best part is Ohio Valley Goodwill is right in the heart of the action as the organization’s soon-to-be new Goodwill store location on Locust Street across from the Kroger store is serving as ” donation central” for the ShareFest event this year.
The mission of ShareFest is as a service and environmental nonprofit corporation dedicated to the collection and redistribution of items donated by Miami University students and the Oxford community at the end of the academic year. Collected items are shared with local human service organizations and recycled responsibly as appropriate.
” As a new business moving into the community of Oxford, Goodwill couldn’t be happier to have this opportunity to be a partner in the ShareFest donation event,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Director. ” It will help to introduce Goodwill to the Oxford community as we look forward to opening our brand new Oxford store in the Fall of this year,” added Eastham. The new Goodwill store will offer a selection of fashion items geared towards both Miami University students as well as all members of the Oxford community. The Oxford Goodwill store will also feature a convenient drive-thru donation center when it opens.

Stay tuned to find out how many donations were collected when the drive ends on May 19th.
