Ohio Valley Goodwill’s corporate headquarters was abuzz with an air of celebration on Tuesday, April 12th in honor of the Reds Opening Day. Team members and program participants proudly wore their Reds t-shirts, hats and other fan gear in order to support the Reds. A Cincinnati Springtime tradition, the celebration of the Reds Opening Day is particularly meaningful this year as people were able to gather and enjoy each other’s company as well as a delicious Grill-Out. Prepared by Goodwill management team members, the Grill-Out featured a menu of hot dogs (of course!) and chips for all the Reds fans in attendance and was sponsored by the organization.
“We are so happy to share the excitement of Opening Day with our Goodwill team members and show them our appreciation for their hard work with this wonderful Grill Out,” said Joe Byrum, President and CEO. “Thanks to our Chef Francisco Lopez on coordinating today’s Grill-Out and to our management volunteers for manning the grills throughout today’s luncheon event,” added Byrum.
Today’s festive Grill-Out was a welcome chance to get together with team members and celebrate a time-honored Spring tradition of the Reds Opening Day. Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to all of its team members for their support and on-going dedication to its mission throughout the past two years and moving into the future. GO REDS!
