Ohio Valley Goodwill is pleased to announce that for the ninth consecutive year, the organization will be the official Donation Sponsor for the annual Thanksgiving Day Race. This year marks the 110th anniversary of the seasonal celebration which has become a family tradition for many Greater Cincinnatians. Team Goodwill is busy planning the organization’s sponsorship this year for the 110th celebration of the annual Thanksgiving race and donation drive on November 28th. This year, the Goodwill Donation Station will be prominently located at Paul Brown Stadium at the start of the race and once again, race participants can enjoy the Goodwill Entertainment and ” Selfie” station at Mile 2.
” Ohio Valley Goodwill is looking forward to being once again the official Donation partner for the 2019 Thanksgiving Day race and as always, we are incredibly grateful for the generous support of our community in helping with our mission of putting people to work. This year’s Goodwill Donation location at Paul Brown should make it very easy for race participants to drop off their donations of gently worn coats, jackets or other cold weather gear. Our Goodwill Donation Team will be waiting with big smiles on Thanksgiving morning and will offer a warm Thank You to all donors for their generous support,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Director.
After rave reviews following last year’s race, musician Mark Macomber, will once again be the featured performer at the Goodwill Entertainment Station at Mile 2.
Mile 2 will also feature not only the fabulous sounds of Macomber on drums but also, a ” Selfie” Station where racers can take a quick second to commemorate their participation in this year’s race. Lucky race participants may also be featured in a Facebook Live video during this year’s event. You can share your Happy Thanksgiving Day wishes ” live” with family and friends during the big race!
Over the past eight years of the partnership, Ohio Valley Goodwill has collected more than 37,000 pounds of cold weather running gear and coats from the generous participants in the annual Thanksgiving Day Race. Look for the Goodwill Donation truck at the start of the Race at Paul Brown Stadium and bring a coat to share. Your generous donations help put people to work in our community and Goodwill is thankful for your support.
