Michael Flannery, Goodwill Public Information Officer and Local Celebrity. | Ohio Valley Goodwill’s long-time partner, Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, will soon be going on the ballot for a renewal of their operating levy. The Board is slated to be on the ballot in May of 2014 and the fund-raising efforts are already beginning. Goodwill’s own, Michael Flannery, Public Information Officer and local celebrity, will be providing his talents for two upcoming community events designed to raise funds for “People for DD Services;” a non-profit group that works in support of the levy campaign.The first event will be held on Friday, November 15th and is a Paddle Auction hosted by United Cerebral Palsy and People for DD Services featuring Michael Flannery as the |
Auctioneer. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the Auction begins at 6:15 pm. UCP is located at 2300 Drex Avenue in Norwood. Cost for participation is $10 for the first paddle and $5 for additional paddles. Items up for bid at the Auction include: Passes to Perfect North Slopes, Bengals and Ohio State Autographed Memorabilia, Restaurant and Shopping gift cards and a host of other valuable items that are just perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
On Monday, November 18th, Michael turns his many talents towards being a Celebrity Waiter for the “Celebrity Waiter Dinner” from 6-9 pm being held at the LaRosa’s on Boudinot Avenue in Cheviot. The cost for the dinner is $20 per person and proceeds benefit the 2014 DD Services Levy Campaign. For more information about these two exciting community events, please email info@ddslevy.org.
