Goodwill RN Selected as Finalist for 2018 Health Care Hero Awards Presented by the Cincinnati Business Courier

The Cincinnati Business Courier announced today the finalists for the 2018 Health Care Heroes awards and Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries was delighted to learn that Health Services Manager, Abby Bradburn, RN was selected as a finalist in the Health Care Manager category for the awards celebration early next year.

These annual awards honor individuals and organizations that have improved the quality of health care in Greater Cincinnati through medical expertise, innovative approaches, management skills, entrepreneurial initiatives, community outreach and patient care.

As one of the largest employment and training centers serving people with disabilities in the Tri-State area, Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries has an outstanding Health Care Medical team. Led by RN, Abby Bradburn this outstanding team of health care professionals provides services to more than 100 individuals with significant disabilities per day as part of their position responsibilities.

The scope of services Goodwill’s Health Care team provides includes everything from tube feedings to diabetes monitoring and enables individuals to fully participate in Goodwill’s training programs who might not otherwise be able to do so. Goodwill’s Medical team members are hard-working, compassionate and caring but as the Manager, Abby is the role model and leader for the provision of care to the individuals they mutually serve. Abby also, has a wonderful sense of humor that endears her to the individuals she supports as well as her team.

While Abby as the manager of the Health Services team is always professional in her interactions, she also has developed a close rapport with the people she serves, based on mutual respect and sensitivity to personal needs. Ohio Valley Goodwill values our remarkable health care team and Abby in particular not only for their exemplary contributions to the organization’s mission but also, for their commitment to the dignity of each person.
