Goodwill Queen Bee Marathon New “Bee-Tique” Ready to Take Flight!
Ohio Valley Goodwill’s team of worker bees are buzzing around working on the last minute preparations for the debut of the brand new Queen Bee Goodwill “Bee-Tique” on Friday, October 9th at the Expo event. With all cold weather running gear on sale for only $5.00, the Goodwill “Bee-Tique” is sure to be very popular with this year’s Queen Bee Half Marathon race participants. The two day Queen Bee Half Marathon takes place October 9th and 10th in beautiful downtown Cincinnati and this year features an Expo at the Duke Energy Center on Friday, October 9th.
Goodwill is also offering Queen Bee participants the chance to win a deluxe Spa Pampering Basket following this year’s race event. This year’s fabulous spa basket even includes a Pamper Package from the wonderful and totally indulgent Christopher Marcus Salon in Hyde Park Square. Known as the ” Do Bee A Good Bee And Donate To Goodwill’ promotion, this opportunity offers racers the chance to de-clutter, simplify their lives and help in a good cause! Clean out your closets, throw your unwanted clothing, shoes and books into a box and bring your donations to the Queen Bee! Drop off your clothing donation at the Goodwill booth at the Expo on Friday, October 9th or at the post-race party on Saturday, October 10th.
Anyone who donates during the 2-day donation drive will be entered to win a basket full of pampering goodies. Goodwill busy bee helpers will be happy to help you register to win at the Goodwill booth. The Grand Prize drawing will take place on Saturday, October 10th. You do not need to be present to win- but it’s more fun if you are! The Goodwill team will draw the winner’s name on Saturday, October 10th following the race and if your name is drawn, you’ll be asked to join us on stage to receive the Good Bee Spa Pampering Basket Grand Prize! You can glow in the spotlight of being a ” Good Bee” in support of Goodwill and its mission of putting people to work in our community. Also, just a helpful hint…we are desperately in need of shoe donations this year! “Do Bee a Good Bee” and include your gently worn shoes in this year’s donation box.
