Goodwill Preparing for Debut of New Bee-Tique at Queen Bee!
It may still be more than a month away but the buzz is definitely building for the 2015 Queen Bee Half Marathon. The two day event takes place October 9th and 10th in beautiful downtown Cincinnati and this year features an Expo at the Duke Energy Center on Friday, October 9th. For the first time, Goodwill will be welcoming Queen Bee racers to its buzz-worthy Goodwill boutique (or “bee-tique) at the Expo with all items priced at only $5! Now, that’ll get the buzz going! As if that weren’t enough, Goodwill’s team of worker bees will be busy helping race participants accessorize at the Queen Bee photo booth for their best ” selfies” ever. Don’t forget to wear your Goodwill Queen Bee glasses to create a perfect memory of the big event!
The other recent buzz is about how this year’s Queen Bee race participants can win a deluxe Spa Pampering Basket following this year’s race event. Known as the “Do Bee A Good Bee And Donate To Goodwill’ promotion, this opportunity offers racers the chance to de-clutter, simplify their lives and help in a good cause! Clean out your closets, throw your unwanted clothing, shoes and books into a box and bring your donations to the Queen Bee! Drop off your clothing donation at the Goodwill booth at the Expo on Friday, October 9th or at the post-race party on Saturday, October 10th.
Anyone who donates during the 2-day donation drive will be entered to win a basket full of pampering goodies. Goodwill busy bee helpers will be happy to help you register to win at the Goodwill booth. The Grand Prize drawing will take place on Saturday, October 10th.
You do not need to be present to win- but it’s more fun if you are! The Goodwill team will draw the winner’s name on Saturday, October 10th following the race and if your name is drawn, you’ll be asked to join us on stage to receive the Good Bee Spa Pampering Basket Grand Prize! You can glow in the spotlight of being a “Good Bee” in support of Goodwill and its mission of putting people to work in our community.
