Ohio Valley Goodwill is very excited to announce that the organization is not only a new Associate Charity with the Flying Pig Marathon but will also sponsor for the first time the “Goodwill Pig Pop Up Shop” at the Expo! On Saturday, May 2nd, Goodwill will feature the new Pop Up Shop at the Duke Energy Center from 10 am-7 pm.
The Goodwill Pig Pop-Up Shop will feature a selection of men’s, women’s and kid’s outer wear that will keep racers warm until they take flight. The good news is that you can recycle your flight gear responsibly by just tossing it along the route and Goodwill will retrieve items at the end of the Big Race! All items will be priced at only $2.00 ““ a great way to stay warm and do a very good thing for Goodwill!
” Goodwill was so pleased to be invited to be invited to be an Associate Charity with the 2015 Flying Pig Marathon,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Specialist. ” The organization has been a sponsor and supporter of the PigAbilities portion of the Race for several years but this is the first time we have become an official Charity partner and Expo participant.”
PigAbilities is an event within the Flying Pig Marathon designed to provide the opportunity for athletes with developmental disabilities to complete the final mile following the successful culmination of a five week training program sponsored by the CARA Group. Ohio Valley Goodwill is a long-time sponsor and participant in the PigAbilities event.
