” Tuesday, September 22nd marked the start of the Fall series of scheduled community outreach presentations by Ohio Valley Goodwill team members in support of the Hamilton County Board of MR/DD’s 2009 Tax Levy. Advocate Melinda Gabelman and speaking partner, Sharon Hannon, Marketing Specialist, co-presented to the Newtown Community Council regarding the vital importance of the Levy renewal to almost 8000 families and individuals with developmental disabilities in Hamilton County.
The pair are only one example of the organization’s commitment to providing as much community education as possible prior to the November 3rd election. Goodwill Public Information Officer, Michael Flannery, has a long list of speaking engagements scheduled as well in support of the Levy.
” Ohio Valley Goodwill has worked in partnership with the Hamilton County Board of MR/DD for more than 25 years and is committed to doing everything we can to educate the Greater Cincinnati community about the critical importance of voting yes on Issue 5,” said Hannon, Marketing Specialist.
Goodwill is planning to host a number of activities in the coming weeks in support of the Levy including a county-wide Open House event on October 21st and the 2009 What Matters Most Fashion Show on October 28th at the Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center.
Remember to vote Yes on Issue 5 on November 3rd!
