Friday, October 1st and Saturday, October 2nd were filled with festivity and eager shoppers as Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Service Guild kicked off their 2010 Fall Mini-Fest. The annual event includes a special sale of collectibles and other seasonal items selected by the group of dedicated volunteers, hourly raffle prize drawings, a bake sale of delicious home-made goodies, as well as a lunch-time Grill Out on both days. Goodwill’s Service Guild has been hosting the annual Fall festival for more than 25 years to benefit the organization’s mission of providing employment and training services for individuals with disabilities and our nation’s veterans. “We are delighted to have this wonderful tradition of Fall fun to celebrate our support of Goodwill’s important work,” said Guild President, Nancy Horton. The Goodwill Service Guild is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers that have worked diligently on behalf of Ohio Valley Goodwill for more than 75 years. “We are very grateful for the on-going efforts of the Goodwill Guild,” said George Palmer, Director of PR and Marketing. “Community events like the Fall Festival really help to bring positive attention to the mission of our organization,” added Palmer.
