At Ohio Valley Goodwill, Thanksgiving is a special holiday that is shared by all. The holiday tradition is hosted by the organization’s Volunteer Service Guild who works in partnership with Goodwill’s Food Services team to provide all of the delicious trimmings expected for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. More than 500 employees and program participants enjoy the annual holiday feast which features turkey, dressing, green beans, potatoes, cranberry and of course, pie!
The volunteer group which has celebrated more than 85 years of service to the organization, plans and hosts the annual Thanksgiving luncheon event in partnership with Goodwill’s Food Services team under the direction of Chef Francisco Lopez. The annual Thanksgiving Luncheon is a holiday tradition that is much looked forward to by the organization’s program participants as well as staff team members. ” We enjoy hosting this event every year,” said Sue Burreson, Guild President. ” It’s always such a wonderful opportunity to come together and share the joy of the holiday season,” added Burreson.
Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to the Service Guild for its generous support of the annual Thanksgiving luncheon event and to its Food Services team and volunteers for their hard work on ensuring the 2017 luncheon was enjoyed by all of Goodwill’s team members.
Ohio Valley Goodwill Wishes Everyone a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving! Please note that Goodwill will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd to celebrate the holiday!
