The scenic rural countryside of Clermont County served as the setting for the 2014 “Fit and Fun Fest” held on Saturday, July 12th. Runners and walkers lined up at the start at the Clermont County Board of DD’s Wildey Center on Saturday morning, all eager to strut their stuff in support of the organization and the individuals it serves. Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to not only be a vendor for the event but also, a participant in this year’s 5K race.
With Goodwill’s Eastside Supervisor, Paula Smith holding down the exhibit table, Marketing Specialist Sharon Hannon, joined the excited walkers and runners in the challenging 3.2 mile event. Participants enjoyed the lush farms and historic homes that dotted the route as well as the opportunity to see farm animals up close.
Following the race, awards were given out to assembled participants who though a bit overheated were jubilant in their success. “It was a great opportunity to be part of this very community-oriented fitness event which also supports Goodwill partner, the Clermont County Board of DD,” said Hannon, Goodwill Marketing Specialist.
