On Giving Tuesday this year; which is being celebrated on May 5th in response to the COVID-19 crisis and impact on our local communities; we wanted to support the idea of giving Good Will. Throughout this difficult and unprecedented time, we have seen one example after another of people sharing their good will with others. Children showing off their inner artist selves with creative sidewalk art, meant to inspire a smile by a passerby; a neighbor who goes out of their way to check on an elderly person; countless volunteers who give of their time and compassion to help others and of course, our health care and essential workers who are on the front line everyday.
The idea of GivingTuesday is explained as a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
#GivingTuesdayNow, is designed to be a global day of unity to take place on May 5, 2020, as a response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. Find out more about Giving Tuesday by visiting their website at https://www.givingtuesday.org
