The start of October is officially the beginning of spooky season!
It’s also time for your young ghouls and goblins to decide on their Halloween costumes. Luckily, Goodwill can costume your whole family for less than the price of many store bought, pre-made ensembles. Plus, DIYing a costume from Goodwill keeps fabric waste from landfills and you can guarantee your Halloween costume will be as unique as you are!
Still not sure what you and the family are going to be? Here’s a few ideas for family costumes to thrift.
Farming Family
Give the family a break from the fall harvest for some candy! Head to Goodwill for denim overalls, plaid shirts, boots, and hats for the parents. Get the kids an all black or all white outfit and tape black and white shapes on them to create the cutest little cows you ever did see.
Rainbows
Here’s an easy idea! Each family member pick one color of the rainbow, head into Goodwill and go wild picking an outfit of that color. Our huge selection makes it easy to find the colors you’re looking for.
Zombies
Looking for a spookier costume? How about a zombie family? Grab a shirt and pants from Goodwill, cut a few jagged edges on the hems, paint your face white, add copious amounts of fake blood, add in a stumbling walk and you’ll scare the pants off the neighborhood kids!
