Meet Richard Keck
Richard Keck currently works at the brand new Culver’s Restaurant in the Tri-County area. Richard explains in his video that he enjoys his job and especially earning a good paycheck. Richard has been working at Culver’s since October 2020 and was originally hired as a dishwasher but soon became responsible for a host of duties.
Richard was assisted in his job search by Goodwill Employment Specialist, Kelsey Holbrock, who helped him to apply for the open position and practice for his job interview. Both Richard and Kelsey were thrilled when Richard was hired for the position. Once Richard was hired, Goodwill’s Job Coaching team provided support to ensure that Richard was performing his duties to the employer’s expectations. Richard was sponsored for Employment Services by his counselor through Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), Rodger Carney, who has a long-time collaborative relationship with Ohio Valley Goodwill and its Employment Services team.
When he is not working, Richard likes to listen to music and practice his drum beats on his practice board. He also likes to watch TV and movies and not surprisingly, likes to go out to eat. He also enjoys shopping with the money he makes on his job.
Ohio Valley Goodwill congratulates Richard on his employment success and is grateful to Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities https://ood.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/ood/home for their long-standing partnership which enables people like Richard to obtain jobs and personal success in the community.
