Hive you heard the news? Cincinnati’s Flying Pig Marathon has created a new race for a cause that is sweeter than honey! The Queen Bee Half Marathon will have runners combing the city on a 13.1 mile route that is sure to leave their legs stinging — all in the name of local nonprofits that help women in Cincinnati!
Today, two of the most crucial ladies on our team, Marketing Specialist Sharon Hannon and Retail Sales Manager Ann Walters, were on hand when the Queen Bee’s queen bee, Executive Director Iris Simpson Bush, announced that Ohio Valley Goodwill is co-sponsoring the event.
Check out the photos below to see how their lady-centric luncheon went:
Ohio Valley Goodwill is buzzing with excitement over this un-bee-lievable opportunity. Though our programs are not gender-specific, we help thousands of women in Southeast Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southwest Indiana each year. As a special treat, the runners themselves will receive exclusive Ohio Valley Goodwill sunglasses. And, of course, Goodwill team members with be helping out as pollen-teers! ADD: Goodwill’s busy bees will also be sponsoring a donation station outside of the Horseshoe Casino which will allow the Queen Bee racers the opportunity to de-clutter and at the same time, help someone else in our community. The best part is, all donors will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Spa Pampering basket truly worthy of a Queen.
