The weekend of May 15th -May 17th was a busy weekend for community donations in support of Ohio Valley Goodwill. With two major donation events taking place in the heart of Cincinnati at Rookwood Commons and at the same time in downtown Oxford, the Goodwill team was out in force with its partners spreading the message of Goodwill. The two first-time events served as the opportunity to promote the message that donating to Goodwill not only helps to put people to work in our community but also, gives donors the chance to de-clutter and recycle responsibly.
“We were pleased to partner with Rookwood Commons and IHeart Radio as well as many area restaurants on the Spring Clean for Goodwill event,” said Kim Masters, Advertising Manager. “It was a great way to bring the Goodwill message to the Eastside area.”
The Oxford ShareFest event will continue through May 19th but has already proven to be very beneficial to Goodwill and its mission. With a truckload of donations already collected from Miami University students during Move-Out week, Goodwill was very pleased to be the donation HQ for this year’s event. Located at the organization’s soon-to-be new store and drive thru donation center on Locust Street, ShareFest provided the opportunity for Goodwill to be introduced to the Oxford community in a very positive way. “We could not be more thrilled with the ShareFest team and the reception we’ve received from the Oxford community,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Director. “Goodwill looks forward to our new store opening in the Fall of this year,” added Eastham.
The donation partnerships continue with the WGRR Yard Sale event taking place on May 30th at Riverbend and Turfway Park on June 7th.
