This spring, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students from Camp Ernst School of the Boone County School system competed with each other in a clothing drive to benefit Goodwill Industries. The eager students collected over 5,200 pounds of clothing in a two-week drive to help the organization. In the end, the seventh grade class succceeded in bringing in the most clothing for the drive. To celebrate the challenge, the winning class was treated to a pizza party on June 2nd and students were delighted with the end result. The drive was originally conceived by Goodwill board member Joe Walter, who joined with the winning class to celebrate their achievement and to thank them for their accomplishment. ” On behalf of Goodwill Industries, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for helping us to put people to work through your fantastic collection,” said Mr. Walter.
