To make the most of your next decluttering session, it’s helpful to have a handle on what you can donate to Ohio Valley Goodwill. As it turns out, there are plenty of items we gladly accept that you might not think about!
Here are just a few:
No, we don’t take leftover turkey or mashed potatoes. What we DO take are holiday decorations “” even your old Halloween costumes! Whether it’s from the Fourth of July or Christmas, Ohio Valley Goodwill will give your holiday decorations a second chance to celebrate.
You probably already know that Ohio Valley Goodwill accepts clothing donations, but you may not think about donating the clothes that have spent a year or two hanging in your closet without ever being worn. That’s right, Goodwill accepts brand new clothing with the tags still on it! That item of clothing may not have brought you joy, but that doesn’t mean it’s game over. Donate it, and make someone else’s day!
When you’re sorting your closet for donations, don’t pass by the accessories! Belts, hats, jewelry, bags, and shoes can all be donated. Your unwanted accessories could be the finishing touch on someone else’s favorite new outfit!
That’s right! Goodwill gratefully accepts vehicles of all types. You can donate your car, van, truck, boat, motorcycle, or RV to the Ohio Valley Goodwill Cincinnati Car Donation Program. We can even tow it for free! Donating your vehicle may make you eligible for a tax advantage, and you’ll also be supporting Goodwill’s mission to provide employment and job training services for individuals with disabilities and veterans in our community.
There are many other donation items Ohio Valley Goodwill accepts, including some you might not realize! Every donation you make to Goodwill will be used to help others in your community receive valuable training and support in their journey to meaningful employment. All you have to do is find your nearest donation center and stop by with your donation. We’ll take care of the rest!
