ADA30 Celebration Planning Goes Virtual!

For the past six months, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been part of a planning committee in partnership with Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities (HCDDS), the Center for Independent Living Options (CILO), the City of Cincinnati, Council on Aging, EasterSeals and Metro as well as community advocates to mark the historic 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Originally planned to take place as an in-person event at Washington Park on July 24th, the 2020 ADA anniversary is now being re-invented as a virtual celebration.   Specific details of the plans for the ADA30 Celebration are still being finalized and will be shared in the coming weeks. Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is pleased to be a sponsor for this year’s event in cooperation with HCDDS, CILO, the City of Cincinnati and other participating agencies and advocates.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which was signed into law on July 26, 1990. Read about the history of the ADA and why it’s landmark legislation.

Our celebration of the 30th anniversary of the ADA in Cincinnati  would not be possible without the commitment of time and resources from all of our partner organizations.
