At its 2015 awards luncheon held in partnership with the County Board Association meeting in Columbus, Ohio Public Images, recognized Ohio Valley Goodwill as a nominee for “Outstanding Collaborative Efforts.” Goodwill was nominated by long-time Goodwill partner, Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services in recognition of the organization’s efforts in support of the 2014 Levy campaign.
As part of the 2014 Levy campaign, Goodwill provided a variety of public relations efforts that were instrumental in the historic positive approval passage of the ballot measure. These efforts included a county-wide levy sign distribution effort; the filming and production of a TV commercial; a voter registration drive; numerous speaking and promotional efforts as well as one of the largest county-wide ” Honk and Wave” events.
Goodwill representatives Michael Flannery and Leslie McCurley were happy to attend the Ohio Public Images award luncheon and were honored to be nominated by Hamilton County DD Services. “We enjoy working with the Board and the people we mutually serve. Our support of the 2014 Levy campaign was just part of our on-going commitment to the Board and its efforts to serve people with developmental disabilities in Hamilton county,” said Michael Flannery, Public Information Officer.
Ohio Public Images, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, was established in 1983 to promote positive awareness of people with developmental disabilities. This year’s theme for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is ” Can Do, Like You!” and emphasizes the abilities of individuals with DD.
Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities for their nomination of the organization for this prestigious recognition from Ohio Public Images.
