Goodwill’s Fall Schedule Full of Community Special Events!
As the summer season comes to a close, Ohio Valley Goodwill is gearing up for a busy Fall full of community events. This coming Saturday, September 6th will mark the occasion of the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities Provider Fair from 10 am until 2 pm at the organization’s Wildey Center location. Ohio Valley Goodwill will join a host of exhibitors in sharing information with interested families and individuals about the organization’s programs and services and especially, about the recent expansion of its Eastside Vocational Services Center located in Batavia.
The CARA group (Community Ambassadors Resource Alliance) will be hosting it’s Fall “Harvest Moon Party” fund-raiser on Saturday, September 13th, and Ohio Valley Goodwill is proud to be a sponsor of the 2nd annual event which raises funds to enrich the health and fitness lives of people with developmental disabilities. The week of September 15th will signal the beginning of the two-day Employment Conference taking place on both Monday and Tuesday at Great Wolf Lodge. Ohio Valley Goodwill is a Diamond sponsor of this first-time community event designed to provide information about expanding employment options for individuals with disabilities to interested professionals, families and advocates. Friday, September 19th will feature the debut of this year’s Transition Boot Camp event taking place at the Sharonville Convention Center from 8 am until 3 pm. And finally, just to top off an action-packed week of special events, Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Dynamic Duo, Paula Smith and Mark Macomber, will be star performers for the Clermont County Board of DD’s “Clermont’s Got Talent” fund-raiser taking place on Saturday, September 20th at the Oasis Conference Center.
