"Ohio Valley Goodwill and Gold Star Chili Join Together for Fall Partnership"

Once again this Fall, Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries and Gold Star Chili will partner together to collect gently used clothing at Gold Star Chili locations throughout the Tri-State. This is the second time that the Gold Star organization has stepped-up to assist Goodwill with its mission to provide job support services for men and women with disabilities and homeless veterans. Starting on September 22nd and continuing through October 31st, Gold Star Chili locations will have collection barrels in their stores for patrons to deposit their clean, gently used clothing. “We are so excited to again have the support of the Gold Star organization helping us to collect donations that when sold in our retail stores, helps to provide the income that assists our programs and services,” said George Palmer, Goodwill’s Director of PR and Marketing. Another exciting part of the partnership is that the Gold Star Chilimobile will be on-site on four Saturday’s in September and October at Goodwill retail store locations when live radio remotes will take place. Once again, the Gold Star Chilimobile will be giving out a FREE Cheese Coney to anyone making a donation at the Goodwill Drive-Thru or to anyone spending $10. in  the selected Goodwill  store. Ohio Valley Goodwill appreciates the support that it is receiving from the staff and employees of the Gold Star Chili organization and how this special donation drive is helping  Goodwill with its mission to serve the needs of people with disabilities, our nations veterans and individuals with barriers to employment. Last year, Goodwill helped more than 3,100 individuals and placed 818 men and women into competitive community employment.
